Sami Azzam Kalifa (Owner of the Flower Den) was born Muslim in a small village in Palestine in 1946. He later migrated to Amman, Jordan where he grew up a teenager. In 1969, he arrived in the United States in pursuit of an academic endeavor. He has since made this country his home and Annandale, his hometown. Sami is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gharam “Jenny” Kalifa, his 4 children, Nader, Muna, Omar, Kamal, and his 6 grandchildren.
